What to expect with a business phone line over our broadband
It makes sense to use the same provider for your broadband and phone line, but here are a few pointers to help you get the best from our network:
- You’ll need to keep your broadband router plugged in and switched on at all times to make and receive calls
- Remember that any connected apparatus won’t work during a power or network outage
- If you or any of your employees are considered vulnerable or you have vulnerable people in your care, you can speak to us directly and we’ll accommodate your needs
- If you don’t have access to a mobile phone service and rely solely on the phone line to make calls to the emergency services, we can provide you with an appropriate solution
- If you have an alarm, lift, healthcare monitor or point-of-sale device that relies on a phone line, or you’re thinking of buying apparatus that does, be sure to check with the device manufacturer to see if this service is suitable
If you would like to discuss any of the scenarios, please give us a call on 0800 052 1135

Business Phone Lines
Business Talk Unlimited Extra offers unmetered calls to UK Landlines & Mobiles, as well as selected International landline destinations.
Calls to UK Landlines, including selected international destinations*, are free for the first 60 minutes and first 30 minutes for UK Mobiles.
Simply hang up and redial before this time expires to avoid charges, failing which you’ll be charged at the normal pence per minute rate set out in the tariff sheet.
*Selected international destinations:
Australia, Austria, Belgium, Canada, China, Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Hong Kong, Ireland, Italy, Japan, Latvia, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Monaco, Netherlands, New Zealand, Norway, Russia and USA.
A 2.0 pence per call connection fee applies to all destinations not listed above, with the exception of Non -Geographic Service calls, the charges for which are different and are set out on the tariff sheet.
Calls to ported UK Mobiles are charged according to their dial code and therefore at the prevailing rate for the original network operator. For example a call to a Hutchinson 3 Mobile (3 Mobile - FM6) which has been ported from O2 will be charged at the O2 rate.
