As you read this, we’re supercharging the UK with a £3bn investment to extend our ultrafast optical fibre network to 17 million homes and businesses. Project Lightning is the biggest private investment in UK internet infrastructure in over a decade. By 2019, we’ll have added four million homes and businesses to our network with an emphasis on reaching historically under-served areas.

We’re proudly confident that Project Lightning will benefit the UK economy by £8 billion and be directly responsible for the creation of 6,000 new jobs, including 1,000 new apprenticeships.

We have the largest fibre optic network in the UK, with 330 Ethernet PoPs and over 38,000 street cabinets. It’s superfast and incredibly robust. And since our network reaches right to the kerb, it’s usually quick and easy to deliver it directly into your premises.
